The Horses

The horses will be making the trip out to California in the Dakota Thunder semi and horse trailer.  Six horses will ride in the semi and one horse (ya gotta have a spare in case one gets sick) will ride in the trailer.  The hitch is composed of 3 teams:  the lead team, swing team and wheel team.  Jack and Thunder are the lead team and are right out front, very proud.  You'll notice that Jack and Thunder each have one black sock. The swing team or the middle of the hitch is Bud and Hank.  The wheel team, closest to the wagon, is Duke and Jim.  Jim also has a black sock.  Rowdy is the spare horse that will be making the trip.  He's a little younger horse and is just learning the ropes and will join the hitch in showing next season.  A beautiful Shire Hitch for sure! This picture was taken by Stacie Lynch in Britt, Iowa Labor Day week-end 2015.
